Fioscope is a stethoscope that uses the power of your smartphone and 3D-printing to revolutionize the traditional stethoscope into an innovative digitalized one that is high quality, affordable, and improve patient diagnosis worldwide.
Our Mission is to modernize the stehoscope with technology and make it open-source so everyone worldwide can receive better patient care and save lives.
Our design is based on an existing open-source 3D-printed stehoscope created by Dr.Tarek Loubani. Please visit The Glia Project for more info.
The Problem
The Problem with Traditional Stehoscopes
- At least half of the world’s 7.3 billion people are not receiving the essential health services they need.
- In many Developing Nations, doctors don't have access to simple medical equipment, including the stethoscope.
- Both digital and traditional stethoscopes are expensive.
- Medical professionals may need to do further analysis or a second opinion, but can't record the ausculation through a traditional stehoscope
- With COVID-19, traditional stethoscopes put both doctors and patients at risk and do not allow for social distancing
This needed to change ASAP.

So we created Fioscope. A revolutionary stethoscope that is:

Fioscope utilizes easily accessible materials, and 3D-printing to make it cheaper than both traditional and digital stethoscopes on the market.
Compatible with Telemedicine
As more use telemedicine, Fioscope provides an affordable & effective method for doctors to perform auscultation on their patients virtually.
Complies with Social Distancing
With the rise of COVID-19, Fioscope complies with the general rule of Social Distancing, allowing medical professionals and patients the ability to keep a safe distance.

The Fioscope app allows users to share recording with others through different platforms such as email and many other platforms.
